The attack on the Embroiderers Guild of America event "Shiver Me Stitches"  Was well belayed.  Cap'n Pern and Madam Grace conducted the raid and provided a half hour of the history of Black Beard in Hampton Roads along with an introduction of Blackbeards Crew and the Colonial Seaport Foundation to appproximately 100 attendees.  All information was warmly received and several people requested further information.  Three brochures were given to prospective new CSF members.  Huzzah!!!!  Blackbeards Crew was written up in their Newsletter as well as the Colonial Seaport Foundation.  We brought in a contribution to the crew of $150.00 due to our efforts.

A very well executed raid was conducted on the Hampton Roads Advertising Council annual Addy Awards. We were well received
The performance on the stage was fabulous!!! The harassment of the audience was well executed. The gauntlet for greeting the guests at the door created a spirited environment which set the stage for the entire eventing.

All crew members present turned two and pitched in to help make this a GREAT event. I think we made a good impression on the HRAC.
On a sad note however in moving the trailer between parking lots a curb was hit that damaged one of the tires which required changing late in the cold night. It was a good thing we invested in a spare. The only way we could have prevented this is if we didn't do anything. So I am contributing it to a casualty of battle.

Many Thanks to all who joined in the this raid!!!!!!!

A terrific time was had by all members and supporters attending.  Great performances were conducted by Bob Zentz, the Tanner's Creek Whalers and Blackbeard's Crew.  Channel 3,10 and 13 were present with film crews.  Approximately 75 supporters attended.  After the show the Crew stayed to watch National Treasure.   $1419.00 was raised to support the Friends of Skipjack Fund.

    Ahoy Crew,

Friday Night Started out with a Tug Boat ride aboard the Jupiter the oldest operational Tugboat on the Delaware River
after that we proceeded to the Fundraising Pirates Ball where we had to help fill in some spots of time while a minor issue of
finding the key to the treasure chest was resolved.  I threw Madam Grace under the boat to help out with passing out the Treasure chest keys.
I told a couple of cheesy pirate jokes and then we sang "Blow the Man Down"
We had victuals and beverages and a general good time with the audience.

Saturday we started out about 0930 with camp  setup.  There was a little confusion as to where we were to setup. but that was
    resolved quickly.
We setup camp in a new way that was very well received and flowed well from a history perspective as well
as a safety perspective.  As you walked throught the Blackbeards Crew gateway you first came to the Pillory where people were being punished all day
by Mr Thyme and Don Juan Cortez.  The photo ops there even made it into the local paper.  Next you came  into contact with a terrific cooking
presentation put on by the Jacobs.  (Cookie you might have some competition:-).  Then  moving past the campfire you came upon
Madam Grace's Tent with the fly setup for the feasting table.  As you walked past the feasting table you came upon the Weapons and Tactics and the
Seamanship and Navigation tables where we had people most all of Saturday.  In from of the Tables we conducted Three school for scallywags.
the last of which had 32+ kids involved.  The Jacobs sang some see shanties for the audience attracting attention to the overall camp that was well received.

We got Israel Hands to do a how to talk like a pyrate, I threw him under the boat as it were.  and Madam grace did a bang up job of teaching the cutlass.
Cutlass Jake chipped in with singing some of the Way haul away song for the Pirate Tug of War.

We striked the camp between 1700 and 1830 and then went to dinner with our very own Billy Flynt and Captain Morgan of the Kalmar Nyckel.

ONCE AGAIN WELL BELAYED TO ALL!!!!
